Privacy Notice

1. Who we are
ProTemplate AI is operated by wealthlinsuk ("we", "us"). wealthlinsuk is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service: we decide what data is collected, why, and how it is used. Contact us at privacy@protemplate.ai.
2. Data we collect and why
Account data (name, email address, login credentials, profession, plan) — to create and secure your account and provide the Service. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Content data (prompts, generated documents, uploaded logos, brand kit settings) — to generate, store and export your documents. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Usage and telemetry (features used, credits consumed, generation and export events, error logs) — to operate, debug and improve the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Device and technical data (IP address, browser and device identifiers, timestamps) — for security, abuse and fraud prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interests.
Marketing preferences — only where you opt in. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.
3. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors — cloud hosting and database, AI model providers that process prompts to generate documents, error monitoring and support tooling.
- Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, which handles the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance, and customer enquiries relating to orders.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting and audit advisers where necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect legal rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Some providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens we rely on UK/EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable), together with appropriate technical safeguards.
5. Retention
Account and content data are kept while your account is active and for up to 30 days after deletion, so you can recover work. Security and telemetry logs are kept for up to 12 months. Records required for tax and accounting are kept for as long as the law requires. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdrawal of consent. Email privacy@protemplate.ai and we will respond within one month. You can also delete your account yourself from Account settings. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, row-level access controls so users can only reach their own records, least-privilege administrative access and audit logging of administrative changes.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference; these are required for the Service to work. Where we use limited analytics cookies to understand aggregate product usage, and any marketing cookies, these are only set with your consent. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in. Paddle may set cookies during checkout, governed by Paddle's own privacy notice.
9. Changes
We will update this notice as the Service evolves and will tell you about material changes in the app or by email.
